Difference between Bollywood heroes & South Indian superstars.

Where is your social responsibility SHAH RUKH KHAN. Are you not ashamed of yourself. Where is yours ALIA BHAT. SHAME ON YOU GUYS! Women in Dharawi are better than you and live with honour. Whatever they engage in, its for a decent square meal a day.

WAtching for the umpteenth time a commercial featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgan and Akshay Kumar endorsing a paan gutka Vimal (Elaichi/Kesar) (chewable, TOBACCO with Indian flavours), and Ranveer Singh promoting openly Royal Stag (liquor) brand it struck me that NOT A SINGLE TAMIL HERO LIKE RAJNI KANTH OR KAMAL HASAN OR EVEN OTHERS LIKE VIJAY OR AJITH OR VIJAY SETHUPATHI OR SIMBU OR SIVA KARTHIKEYAN OR SIVAKUMAR (OLDER GEN) etc., endorsed any product especially tobacco or alcohol in their life time. Only Abbas who was a flop Tamil hero appeared in Harpic ad for years. For unemployment reasons, he reportedly moved downunder to NZ where he works 9 to 5 to make ends meet. Making it so big in their careers as superstars for 3 generations, none of the Tamil actors ever took to earn from commercials (including NON TOBACCO/ALCOHOL FMCG products) or from too many stage shows overseas or from dancing in hifi weddings like Bollywood heroes do for the right price. From Aishwarya Rai to Shahrukh Khan everyone entertained guests with Bollywood dance moves at Lakshmi Mittal daughter’s wedding some fifteen years back – and that was just one show. The wedding goes down Guinness records as most expensive one in world history, for the wealthiest man Mittal is. How many commercials starring Amitabh Bachchan. If SRK is the richest star in India, it is because he is not making a life out of cinema alone. Brand endorsements pay bigtime. Shows abroad and gracing weddings shaking a leg may comprise a good percentage of the revenues of these Hindi superstars. None of the Tamil heroes sold their soul that way but stuck to only their business – or in this case, their occupation. Nobody wears makeup in real life – 99% of them. They don’t have an image to protect at all. Rajni Kanth is down to earth simple, clad in white dhoti and brazenly appearing with a full bald head for decades now in public. He is our reigning superstar since the 1970s. Money and more money can be made anyway. But to have principles in life and to follow them under whatever conditions is something very different and difficult. Only Mallu hero Mamooty I have watched in a dhoti commercial. A rare endorsement. Otherwise extremely rare to spot any south Indian hero in commercials endorsing brands. Or dance in stage shows selling tickets. IN shows, their mere presence can do the trick for them. Their speeches draw the fans to them. Such a picture of dignity. What is the point in shaving the chest hair and going for sculpting your face and hair transplants over an age. Aging with dignity is class. Plus the public must be taught to accept even the superheroes the way they are. That way the masses can disconnect the actual man from the filmy hero and won’t get carried away by useless fantasies. Same applies for Bollywood heroines like Kareena and now even Alia Bhat featuring in commercials. ALIA, A YOUNG MOTHER, PROMOTING ROYAL STAG OR WHATEVER BRAND OF LIQUOR IS SHOCKING! Never watched a single south Indian heroine sell a product and worst of all alcohol. Well, THIS IS NOT COOL! Its easy to say that our heroines are duskiest and may not appeal to the national audience which is untrue. DArk skin tone is favoured down south. Over a point, whether you have 2 billion or 3 billion doesn’t matter. The more you endorse paan for the youth of India in cricket season making a killing, the more you can expect your kid to to do drugs in luxury yacht anchored off Mumbai coast. The fortune made from the paan will come in handy to bail out the son caught doping, is it not so Shahrukh? Tell me please. We have a word for this: Karma. Rajnikanth used to be popular for his cigarette tricks. But when he learnt that youth followed him, he stopped appearing smoking in public and never acted another scene showing him smoking on screen. The greed of the Bollywood superstars never ceases to amaze me. Not to forget that they were all spotted in company of the D gang in Sharjah matches. Such a criminal mafia nexus. All that they are making out of their films and film rights and shows don’t seem to satisfy the Bollywood heroes. They have to endorse the tobacco, liquor and if permitted even dope who knows to make a little extra even as a bad influence on Indian youth who follow and mimic them in every way, not just in clothes or hairstyle. SHAHRUKH KHAN do you even have an ounce of shame or social responsibility.

MINTING MILLIONS AND MILLIONS. IS THERE SOMETHING REMARKABLE AND THAT WOULD GO INTO HISTORY BY WAY OF CHARITABLE ACT, UNDERTAKEN BY SHAHRUKH KHAN. NO, NEVER. NEVER IN THE PAST, NEVER IN FUTURE.
