CM announced US$ 1 million to anyone who could decipher the Indus valley script and prove the Dravidian connection. First of all, what is the source of this vast sum. If the state has that kind of money, converted to Indian rupees, it may well be channeled into various development activities to improve our living standards. May the man spruce up our water bodies and strengthen our reservoirs. May he build more and better roads and housing. May he be farmer friendly. May he start more factories and industries to absorb our excess capacity of literate labour force and may he bolster our schools and universities.
Besides, what does he want to exactly prove? He wants to disconnect Tamils from Hindu ancestry? In which case, may he disprove Periyapuranam. May he disprove the Brihadeshwara. May he disprove Kamba Ramayanam, Patthu Pattu, Ettu Thogai, Thevaram, Thiruvasagam, Thiruppugazh, Naalaayira Divya Prabandham. May he disprove the 64 Nayanmars and the 12 Alwars. The nayanmars and alwars come drawn from all communities representing the richness of the Varna system in practice in Tamil Hindu society. Its a tribute to how diverse and yet well balanced the society was, with each community making its indelible mark in the particular chosen profession passed on over generations, with their garnered knowledge and acumen. Faith cut across all communities though and commanded respect and a place of mention in our highest places of power and worship. May Stalin disprove the tens of thousands of ancient temples littering the state speaking of a glorious history. Why, may he first disprove Kanchipuram and the Mahabalipuram Unesco archelogoical sites. If he is so very anti Hindu, why continue being a Hindu. Research is one thing. But wanting to establish something with ulterior motive is anti-national. It’s mischief making. Even if there is going to be something contrary, for the sake of our ancient Bharat/India, we have to suppress it. That is what loyalty is all about. His father was born in Thiruvarur in a musical family which is why he was good with words. This family is reaping the Karmic benefits of having served in the Thiruvarur temple for generations. They rose to their zenith because of some great Karma accumulation.
