The last picture of CM Vijay has had worldwide release. Firsthand information from family: the movie opened with a bang even in Tucson, not even Phoenix that has sizeable Indian/Tamil population. Just imagine Bay Area, New Jersey, Seattle. Tamils/Indians around the world are lapping it up. I can’t remember when I last went for a movie to the cinemas. May be it was Bahubali 2 in Doha. Can’t spend 3 hours in cinemas. Been to only blockbusters like Dasavataram, Robot etc., to the cinemas. Can’t stand the violence and noise content. Cannot stand Vijay’s pictures sorry. Was watching Rhythm starring Arjun and Meena in tv today. It was a treat to watch Meena not even having her hair straightened and cut short. May be she used a wig for the long plait. So homely and sans much makeup. No overacting. So yadhartham. Arjun is also an action hero. I think i saw this picture in VCR at home during our Malaysian days. Malaysia! I forgot what a frenzy the Tamils there are driven to when a new Indian film is released. Ok movies are for our entertainment, that’s all. Nothing more than that. The filmy heroes are getting paid for their roles. Nothing is social service. Listen to a few upbeat numbers, watch a movie for relaxation and then get on with REAL LIFE. This nonsense culture of heroworshiping filmy heroes happens only in India.
