The invisible dog and cat guarding my home.

Three years back when we went to Varanasi, I got a small drishti Kala Bhairav from the temple there dedicated to fiercest form of Shiva, to hang over my door. Never thought much about it. Back home this March first week on awakening, when I closed my eyes, a huge black doberman like dog filled my vision. I knew immediately it was Kala Bhairav and I was surprised. Not a big devotee of Him. But then Of course I had been calling out to Him in the US since when I encountered negativity. But the invisible dog prowling my home came as a pleasant surprise. That’s why I say, don’t ever ignore any idol or even printed picture of a deity. Their energy is still there not visible to our naked eyes that’s all. Now I appealed to Kala Bhairav to grace me only with the less fiercer form like how He is in Arunachaleshwara temple, Thiruvannamalai. In south temples, Kala Bhairav looks less fiercer and a bit approachable! I nuzzled His black doberman neck in my vision petting Him for coming to guard me and my home. Strangely there was also a small black cat meowing. I didn’t know who it was. That night in my dream a voice whispered, ‘i am Munishwara in cat form in your house.’ Amazed at that. We worship Munishwara annually as we consider Him to be the protector of our children and unborn babies. We have Him in a tree even in our Kula deivam site in Arni. Moreover in my mother-in-law’s side, one of her parents family has Munishwaran for Kula deivam I think (from Thirumullaivoyal side).

One week on my return I was perplexed by negativity. We the awakened become the antenna receiving both positve and negative signals. At that time in desperation I appealed to Kala Bhairav. I closed my eyes and in my vision, first there appeared a gora rupa just like before in Kaligambal darshan. The gora rupa departed to reveal the whole Kala Bhairav as He stands in the Arunachaleshwara temple in Thiruvannamalai. My protective father is forever with me.

Then I went to a non agama temple in the next street the following week. In front of the small Shiva Lingam I closed my eyes. In physical reality, there was just the lingam, low in height. When I closed my eyes, in my vision I saw a black cat purring behind the Shiva Lingam. Munishwara. I don’t want to add what all I saw in the non Agama temple. That’s something I shall reserve for another day.

Whenever I ask in my mind, ‘Bhairava are you there?’ I get answered with a dog barking from the street! Stray dog answers me back.

I was talking to a friend whose Kula deivam is Kala Bhairav (from parents’ side). She is someone who is knowledgeable on awakening etc. I was telling her about my recent spiritual transformation. She immediately said, she was feeling goosebumps. I said that’s because Kala Bhairava was with me all the time and she probably felt Him as He is their kula deivam. She said, head to foot on talking to me, a current passed through her body. Kala Bhairav, who else!

That’s why I say, India is such a blessed nation. The islamization and christianization of this holy country is like committing sacrilege on the spiritual consciousness of this country. Every tree in India, every animal, bird, every idol, simply everything living and nonliving – holds so much of spiritual energy. I am blessed to be born in this nation. I am blessed to have my third eye open and have access to at least a little of the vibrant energy forms.

People may ask, in that case, why should India suffer. When were there invasions. One thing a deity never does is INTERFERE WITH THE KARMA OF INDIVIDUAL OR NATION. Dharma is freewill and will balance itself over time. The hypocrisy of the ancient Hindus led to the invasions to bring about a just and equitable society where social justice was served for everyone on equal footing.

I may be of Shaktha school but I also respect Vallalar for his values and also Vethathri Maharishi’s ‘Vaazhga Valamudan’ philosophical schools of spirituality and philosophy. I think probably that made my Ma Lalitha choose me over many others following a ton of aachaarams and anushtaanams. I don’t do any of that stuff. But my atma is clean that’s all.

If I need to see Him, I need to call out to Him in my mind and close my eyes. A huge doberman shall fill my vision (no dream, no sighting). My home is under total protection of the big prowling black dog and a small purring black cat – visible only to my eyes.
